This exhibition explores the animal form as subject, symbol, and storyteller—whether real or imagined, domestic or wild. Through a diverse range of ceramic works,19 participating artists from Northern California, bring creatures to life, revealing personality, narrative, and meaning embedded in clay.

Ren Lee Wild Boar Basket Back when I lived in the Texas Hill Country I had a violent encounter with a wild boar that totaled my car and impressed me with the scale and scope of mayhem these massive beasts can cause.* Now my karma is forever linked to some of that. *California has a massive, widespread population of 200,000 to 400,000 invasive wild hogs (hybrids of feral domestic pigs and European wild boar) across 56 of its 58 counties. They cause significant ecological and agricultural damage. Hunting is allowed year-round with no bag limit, requiring a license and tag. 20" x 8" x 11" 2025 $2500.00
