Thelma Wetherford
Thelma Weatherford creates richly layered abstract works inspired by the textures, colors, and histories embedded in the natural and built environment. Weathered surfaces, patinas, architectural remnants, and the quiet evidence of time become the foundation for compositions that explore memory, transformation, and resilience.
Working with oil, cold wax, and encaustic, she builds each piece through an intuitive process of layering, scraping, fusing, and revealing. Pigments are combined with wax and medium, then manipulated with brushes, scrapers, heat, and a variety of unconventional tools to create surfaces that are both tactile and expressive. Elements such as fabric, sand, shellac, and other mixed media are often incorporated, adding depth and complexity to the work.
Rather than depicting a specific place, Weatherford’s paintings evoke the feeling of landscapes both external and internal—spaces shaped by erosion, growth, and human experience. Her work invites viewers to slow down, discover hidden details, and form their own connections within each layered surface.

Rooted in a love of humanity and all of nature, her work explores themes of connection, vulnerability, wonder, and belonging.
Through her intuitive process, she invites viewers to bring their own experiences to the work and discover narratives of their own.

Daniela Lares
Every portrait I paint is done with fervent passion. My interest in depicting the human form comes from forming relationships, I enjoy painting faces I know. Whether I'm on a 15 minute timer for a client or a 2 hour long sit, talking with a subject and knowing the brain behind the face is a true pleasure, and inspires every brushstroke. Art has always had its place within myself, from the moment I could grasp a crayon. Whether it be drawing or painting, the movement born from my work keeps the hands busy and the mind steady. The faces in my work belong to people I know personally, and I aim for the viewer to feel imposed upon by the subjects in my work. I want the viewer to recognise more than what they are seeing is a face, but a person.

Renee Converse
Renee Converse is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans installations, ceramic sculpture, abstract painting, and large-scale drawing. Her work investigates the intersection of memory and storytelling, weaving personal and collective narratives into immersive visual experiences.
After several years teaching art at a local high school, Converse returned to her studio to pursue a more intuitive creative process, treating materials as extensions of imagination and emotion. Her recent body of work draws inspiration from a trip to Paris, where moments of connection and shared stories with friends, family, and students became catalysts for new artistic exploration. The resulting pieces are visually rich and narrative-driven, inviting viewers to reflect on their own memories and the stories that shape them.

Judy Catambay
Catambay's artwork moves between paint and clay, following the material's own suggestions as form emerges through intuition, experimentation, and chance.
Figures and animals carry themes of memory, protection, and transformation.
The work is rooted in the emotional life of the natural world and reflects its fragility, resilience, and our place within it.
